Day 7

Poultry reigns triumphant.

hi-res

I don't believe it to be possible to plant new meat anymore. Anything that is fresh seems to instantly disappear.

That's right - the new plate has already been snagged from its environment. I don't see this as a setback, actually. Science shines down upon the chicken.

What is truly amazing about this thievery is the fact that the security device is completely untouched. Every rock is in place. The drainer hasn't even been budged. Whatever animal ate the new plate must have either slurped the meat through a straw, or been far more intelligent than I gave it credit for - removing the security device, and replacing it when it was finished.

I am imagining a group of raccoons patting their full stomachs and giving each other high fives over a job well done.

Diabolical.

hi-res

The black goop inside the chicken carcass is expanding even more. Actually, it almost is pouring out of the chicken orifice, and with it an incredible stench.

I could smell the chicken from the playground today. I'm not sure whether to consider that a good thing yet.
