Day 17

This once was meat. I swear.

hi-res

More good/bad news.
Bad:
The camera's zoom takes some pretty blurry pictures. Looks like it's back to me getting up close and personal with my meat.

Good:
The meat doesn't smell as much when it's wet.
It smells just as bad as ever, but just in a lesser concentration. Just when I thought I could almost handle it, I inhaled raw stench. I couldn't swallow properly for at least 10 minutes afterward.

hi-res

Maggot mail.
Grizzly writes:
"The dark spots are the maggots. What you see is the pupa stage, this is the stage between maggot and fly and lasts about 5 days. You should soon see the dark cases opened with either more flies or no flies around it as they would have hatched and went on with their little fly lives."

Excellent!
That means no animals were harmed in the making of stinkymeat - except maybe whatever ate the hot dogs.

hi-res

I felt the need to re-verify my findings from yesterday. Ironically, the worst part about moving the meat is not the visual, or the scent...

It's the sound.
I guess I can leave that to the imagination.

The shape of the steak is barely discernible anymore. I feel I am imagining it more than I am really seeing it. Like finding shapes in clouds.
